There are a series of market statistics and local reports that can show you how the state market is currently doing. We are also hosting and becoming part of community events. The Bedford Board of REALTORS® was featured in the attached half-page advertisement that ran in the Wall Street Journal Mansion section on Friday, June 3rd, to promote NAR’s partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), the premier youth-serving organization in the U.S. This picture of the Bedford Board of REALTORS waterstop at the Bedford Half Marathon was in a national ad and all proceeds of the fundraiser benefited the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County. Participating members are Gary West, Phillip and Susie Dixon, Dina Baker, Sharron Cousineau, Greg Taylor, Brandi Woods, Dave Mullis, Victoria and Mike Goodwin, Kelly Nicol, Susan Wykoff, Lynda Slate, Susan Sokeland, Kelli Lucas and Cathy Silvers.
The Bedford Board of REALTORS held a winter clothing drive at the December meeting and donated scarves, hats and gloves to local children through Bedford Headstart.
The Bedford Board of REALTORS sponsored two waterstops at the Lawrence County Half Marathon on October 1. The theme was "Realtors--We will Rock You!" Proceeds benefitted the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lawrence County.
The Bedford Board of REALTORS held a social media workshop for its members on May 19 at the board office. Kathy Harbaugh from the Indiana Association of REALTORS conducted the workshop on how to correctly and effectively use social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. to reach out to consumers to promote their business. App. 27 people attended both sessions to make the workshop a success!
The Bedford Board of REALTORS sponsored a food donation drive for L.I.F.E. Pantry in Bedford April, 2016. The drive was a tremendous success and benefits those in need in our local area. Thank you to all of the REALTOR members, affiliate offices and public who participated.
Members of the Bedford Board of REALTORS attended the flag raising at City Hall in Bedford on Friday, December 11 at noon to celebrate Indiana Statehood Day. All 92 counties in Indiana raised the State Bicentennial flag to kick off a year long bicentennial celebration. The board is involved in planning a bicentennial project of a tour of historic limestone homes in the area in June to celebrate Limestone and Homeowner's month. Sharron Cousineau, Victoria Goodwin and Susan Sokeland attended the Bedford Chamber Friday Focus Luncheon on August 21 to hear Chris Galloway speak on the Bedford Half Marathon scheduled for October 10. The BBOR is sponsoring a water stop at said marathon with REALTOR participation at same.
BBOR sponsored a self defense class for participants to learn tips for REALTOR® safety.
